Full-stack 3D virtual tour platform — browser authoring, automated cloud rendering, and photorealistic interactive delivery

Delivered a production-grade virtual tour platform that replaces traditional 360° photography workflows with a programmatic author-in-browser → render-in-cloud → deliver-interactively pipeline. By automating 3ds Max rendering on ephemeral EC2 instances triggered by an SQS queue, the system scales render capacity on demand while keeping infrastructure costs proportional to actual usage — enabling real estate teams to produce photorealistic, multi-floor, unit-level interactive property tours entirely from architectural models.

Real estate teams rely on expensive 360° photography and manual render workflows to market properties — making it hard to scale photorealistic, multi-floor, unit-level interactive tours from architectural models without dedicated studio infrastructure.

The Solution

We built a full-stack, browser-based 3D virtual tour platform covering the entire pipeline from GLB model upload and in-browser tour authoring, through automated cloud rendering, to interactive photorealistic delivery. Property teams walk through spaces in real time, capture camera snapshots at multiple viewpoints, and submit tours for backend rendering. Once renders complete, buyers and agents explore properties through a dual-mode experience: an interactive aerial 360° orbit view and a ground-level photorealistic interior walkthrough with room-to-room hotspot navigation.
